Today marks the first day of school for some students across the district.

Just a few reminders to families:

Please send your child on their staggered return date

Face coverings are mandatory for grades 4-12, encouraged for grades JK-3

Seats will be assigned

Hands should be cleaned before coming to the bus

If your child is unwell, please keep them home
As students may take some extra time to load and find their seats delays are possible.

Loading at the end of the day will also take some additional time at the schools therefore students may arrive home later than scheduled.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

The Ministry of Education officially announced that all publicly funded schools in Ontario will remain closed until May 4, 2020, to further prevent the spread of COVID-19. As indicated by the Minister of Education and the Premier, the decision to extend the closure past this date will be based on the best advice of the COVID-19 Command Table and health experts such as Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. David Williams.

We are committed to keeping you updated as new information becomes available.

Please check your school board website for further information and continue to visit rrdtsc.rrdsb.com for updates about school bus service.
